Piera Ecocerámica is the result of the constant efforts and spirit of modernization of the family group since its founding, marked by fundamental milestones of its growth and consolidation. In 1964, the Ceramica Piera company was launched by the Morera and Jorba families in the city of Piera.

In 1988 - the creation of a new enterprise, Cerámica Pierola, and a company of the same name in Hostalec de Pierola.

In 2002 – The new Cerámica Piera plant was built in the production center of Hostalets de Pierola, significantly increasing production capacity and exponentially expanding the product range.

IN 2003 – Commissioning of a biogas plant (fuel from the Kan-Mata landfill) as an alternative fuel to natural gas.

The average saving of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere is estimated at 10,000,000 kg. annually thanks to the use of this fuel. IN2009 – Pieraecocerámica and the Malpesa ceramic group create Flexbrick, a company that launches an innovative and successful integrated building system of the same name, the international recognition of which has led to projects of the highest importance on five continents.

2015 – Robotization of the production process. The first international framework agreements for the export of bricks and paving stones. South Korea, the UK and Australia are just some of the countries in which Piera Ecocerámica is represented through local partners.

The strengthening of the company in both the national and international markets, thanks to the efforts of subsequent generations who do not forget their family traditions, means that Piera cerámica continues to explore new formats, colors and finishes, always guided by the principles of quality and environmental sustainability.
